It’s official: IU is aiming for a May comeback!

On May 12, IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment confirmed reports that the singer was gearing up to release a new album this month. “IU is currently preparing a new album, with the goal of a release in May,” stated the company.

EDAM Entertainment also confirmed that ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo would be appearing in IU’s new music video, stating, “Cha Eun Woo will be making a cameo appearance.”

IU may be gearing up for a comeback as early as this month!

On May 12, TenAsia reported that IU was currently preparing for a comeback, with the goal of a release in May. If true, her upcoming return would mark her first new album in one year and three months: the singer’s last comeback was with the mini album “The Winning” in February 2024.

TenAsia also reported that IU’s new music video would feature a special appearance by ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo. The two stars previously teamed up for a joint photo shoot for a jewelry brand this past February.
